About
Hello there! My name is Robert Campbell and I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Pennsylvania. I have found my clinical work assisting individuals through their life journey to be immensely rewarding. My goal is to aid you on this journey by helping you obtain greater insight into yourself and how you interact with others. I hope to help you achieve that insight while in a safe and collaborative space, where you participate as the expert in your own experience! I believe that every individual deserves to be seen as independent and capable in their own lives. I also have clinical experience in specialized care for individuals who have endured complex trauma, military veterans who have served the country, as well as emerging adults in a college setting (individuals ages 18-29).
I genuinely admire folks on the spectrum and their stories of resilience. The neurodivergent individuals I have had the pleasure of working with have proven themselves as hard working, strong, and capable. I also can appreciate how autistic individuals creatively approach problem solving and navigating relationships with loved ones. I would like to contribute to that process by assisting autistic adults in developing skills to further build on that foundation.
I believe that clinical work at its core needs to be affirming and validating of one's difficulties while highlighting their strengths and skills in navigating these difficulties. I also look to prioritize validating emotional reactions to a neurotypical world and how traditional systems may miss or disregard autistic individuals. Additionally, I look to highlight how other identities (e.g., race, ethnicity, gender, age) and other sociocultural systems can impact and influence one's ability to engage with the world.
