Hello and welcome to my introduction! My name is Ridgely and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I live in South Florida, and I am currently only licensed in Florida but I am looking to expand further. I have experience in many areas including working with geriatrics, LGBTQ+, adolescents, and adults. I have also worked as a medical social worker. I am passionate about supporting individuals on their journey towards a greater sense of well-being, as well as increasing my knowledge and expertise in different areas of social work. I want to make each and every one of my clients feel safe and heard. Everyone has strengths, weaknesses, and their own special circumstance and it is my mission to provide care to each and every individual that I collaborate with.
My motivation for working with autistic individuals adheres from a place within me that has significant respect and compassion for creating a safe space to empower individuals of any background to feel that they are their best self. My main goal is to help clients navigate any challenges or situation they may be struggling with. To help clients build on their strengths and develop skills to assist them in their everyday lives, and to improve personal relationships.
I prioritize an authentic, affirming, strengths-based, and client centered approach to ensure that each individual feels valued, heard, and motivated. I highly value the skills of active listening, validating feelings that are expressed to me, and creating a warm safe environment where clients can feel safe to express themselves.
