About

Hello and welcome! I’m Reneta, and I’m a therapist currently licensed in NJ. I believe that healing begins when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. I’m passionate about creating a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can show up as your full self—without feeling like you have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door.My background in counseling and human behavior has shaped the way I understand both the emotional experiences we carry and the patterns, relationships, and environments that influence who we become. As a provider, I take a collaborative and person-centered approach to therapy, helping clients better understand themselves, navigate life’s challenges, strengthen their relationships, and develop tools that support meaningful and lasting change.I believe therapy is not only about addressing what hurts; it is also about discovering what you need, reconnecting with your strengths, and creating a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling. My goal is to meet you with empathy, curiosity, honesty, and respect while providing a space where you feel supported in growing at your own pace. You don’t have to arrive with all the answers—we can figure out the next steps together.

Education & Licensure
Master’s in Human Behavior with a specialization in Organizational Psychology from Kean University; Master’s in School Counseling and Counseling from Kean University; Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Pre-Medicine from New Jersey City University
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My passion for working with clients comes from a genuine belief that people deserve to understand themselves without being made to feel that who they are needs to be fixed. Too often, neurodivergent individuals move through life being misunderstood, expected to adapt to environments that were not designed with their needs in mind, or learning to mask parts of themselves in order to feel accepted.I’m drawn to this work because I value helping people make sense of their experiences with greater compassion, curiosity, and self-acceptance. I want my clients to have a space where their differences are not automatically viewed as deficits, and where we can explore both the challenges they experience and the strengths, perspectives, and qualities that are uniquely their own.My goal is to help clients better understand how their minds work, advocate for what they need, develop tools that genuinely fit their lives, and build relationships with themselves and others that feel more authentic and sustainable. Therapy should not be about teaching someone how to become more acceptable to the world around them. I believe it can also be about helping them create a life in which they have more room to be fully themselves.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I strive to create an affirming and collaborative space where clients can explore themselves with curiosity rather than judgment. This means taking the time to understand how you experience the world, recognizing what works for you, and developing strategies that honor your individual needs rather than expecting you to fit into a predetermined idea of what you “should” be able to do. I value client autonomy and believe that you are the expert on your own lived experience. For neurodivergent clients in particular, I believe strengths can sometimes be overlooked when so much attention has been placed on challenges, differences, or expectations to adapt. Together, we can identify the qualities, interests, perspectives, coping strategies, and sources of resilience that have helped you navigate your life while also making space for the areas where additional support may be needed. My approach is compassionate, affirming, and grounded in helping you develop a deeper understanding of yourself so that you can make choices, build relationships, and pursue goals that reflect who you genuinely are—not who you have been told you should be.
