About

Hello and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Rebecca Zabinski. I currently live in the north metro of the twin cities in Minnesota. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and grounded in trust. I believe in meeting clients where they are at in life and partnering with them to set meaningful goals. My style is relational and conversational, often incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and attachment-based techniques. I frequently provide clients with small, actionable goals to help them build habits that align with their larger aspirations in between sessions. I am passionate about supporting individuals on their journey toward greater well-being and self-understanding. My hope is to partner with you in uncovering your own personal strengths and life purpose where you feel truly heard and understood.

Education & Licensure
Masters in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, Minnesota Bachelors of Social Science from the United States Air Force Academy, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I chose to work with autistic/neurodivergent clients because I believe that every individual has purpose in life and has something to offer. My motivation to work with this population of client's stems from a personal experience within my family system, but has grown into a passion for helping others feel a sense of belonging in a society that often leaves people feeling othered if they have different perspectives.  I would like to partner with you in learning how to navigate and thrive during life's challenges.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

My therapeutic style is often described as calming, relational, and supportive. I create a safe, open environment where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences. By asking thoughtful questions, I like to encourage self reflection and empower you to discover your own solutions.Between sessions, I help clients stay on track by focusing on small, actionable goals. When appropriate, I assign relevant homework to maintain progress. Open communication is a cornerstone of my practice, and I frequently clarify expectations to ensure alignment with your own therapy goals. While providing unconditional support, I will also challenge you to think differently, promote growth and deeper self-awareness. I am committed to fostering personal growth and healing in every session we have together.
