About

Hello! My name is Rebecca Mortland. I graduated from Adler University and a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. I have over 10 years of experience treating neurodivergent children, adolescents, and adults. Psychological evaluations serve as a valuable tool for gaining insight into the diverse challenges individuals encounter, allowing for the development of tailored treatment recommendations that effectively address one’s unique needs. I strive to create a supportive, authentic, and collaborative environment that empowers my clients on their journey toward achieving health and wellness.

Education & Licensure
Psy.D in Clinical Psychology from Adler University; Masters in Psychology from National Louis University; Bachelors in Psychology from Illinois State University
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My motivation to work with neurodivergent clients comes from a belief that every person deserves a space where they feel valued and understood. It is a privilege to work alongside the neurodivergent community and to support individuals on their unique journeys. I am honored to be a part of a client's experience and to help them navigate the challenges they may face.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I take an affirming and strengths-based approach to help everyone feel understood and accepted. It is important to me that each client feels seen and valued, not just evaluated. My goal is to help clients better understand their challenges and strengths while creating a space where they do not feel judged.
