About

Hello! My name is Rachel and I am a licensed professional counselor in Texas. I enjoy working with clients on issues of anxiety, depression, identity, and trauma. I use my experience and background in these areas to better collaborate with my autistic clients on reaching their goals.

Education & Licensure
Masters of Education in Counseling from University of Houston; Bachelors in Psychology from University of Texas at Austin
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I have experience working with the autistic community in various settings, including private practice and schools. I also have an autistic sibling, which has helped me to better understand some of the unique challenges and barriers that autistic people often face in accessing and receiving support.  I pride myself on creating a safe and nonjudgmental therapeutic space for my clients.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

One of my favorite parts about therapy is helping clients to identify and utilize their strengths. We are so much stronger and more resilient than we sometimes realize. In working with autistic clients specifically, I think it is so important to help clients feel confident in who they are and discuss how they can use their strengths to live authentically and meet their goals.
