About
Hi, I'm Rachel Lee Jackman, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in Georgia and based south of the Atlanta area. My passion is helping people recognize their strengths, overcome obstacles, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
My career has given me the opportunity to work with individuals in outpatient therapy, residential treatment, and detox settings. These experiences have allowed me to support people through some of life's most challenging moments while developing a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health and substance use recovery. I believe every person's journey is unique, and I strive to meet each client with compassion, authenticity, and practical tools that empower them to move forward.
I am especially passionate about helping individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, and addiction. Whether you are navigating a difficult season or simply looking to become the healthiest version of yourself, I believe lasting change is possible with the right support.
My approach is person-centered, meaning I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation for growth. I integrate evidence-based techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and positive psychology to tailor treatment to each individual's needs. While I always provide a warm, supportive environment, I am also a direct and psychoeducational therapist who enjoys helping clients understand why they think, feel, and behave the way they do. My goal is to equip clients with skills they can continue using long after therapy ends.
