About

Hello and welcome! I’m Dr. Phil Axtell, and I am currently living in Florida, where I’m a Licensed Psychologist. As a clinician, my goal is to create a space where individuals feel safe discussing the challenges they face in a nonjudgmental environment. We have faced challenging times, and it is important to know that my aim is to create an environment where you can express yourself without feeling judged.

Education & Licensure

I have a Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Tennessee. I graduated in 2006. I started my professional life working in the school system. I then went into private practice. I have been working in private practice for about 19 years conducting psychological evaluations for a variety of conditions such as Autism, ADHD, Learning Disorders, and many other psychological challenges.

What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

Through the assessment process, I aim to assess your challenges in a way that does not feel threatening and also focus on your strengths. I will listen to your experiences and create a safe environment for you to express yourself.
