About
Hello! I’m Dr. Pamela Murphy, a clinical psychologist with a passion for helping individuals and families better understand themselves and the unique ways they experience the world. I specialize in autism assessments and believe that every individual deserves to feel seen, understood, and supported. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, with an emphasis on creating a comfortable, welcoming environment throughout the assessment process. I’m passionate about providing thoughtful, comprehensive evaluations that offer meaningful insight, clarity, and guidance while recognizing each person’s individual strengths, needs, and experiences. My goal is to help individuals and families feel empowered, informed, and supported every step of the way.
I have always been passionate about understanding what makes each person unique and recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to how we think, learn, communicate, or experience the world. I was drawn to working with autistic and neurodivergent individuals because I believe everyone deserves to feel understood, accepted, and supported for who they are. I find it incredibly rewarding to help individuals and families gain a better understanding of themselves, find answers to questions they may have had for years, and identify ways to support their individual strengths and needs. I want every person I work with to feel that their differences are valued, not something that needs to be changed.
What draws me to working with autistic and neurodivergent individuals is the opportunity to help each person recognize, understand, and embrace what makes them unique. I believe in looking beyond challenges and focusing on each individual’s strengths, abilities, and potential. My approach is rooted in compassion, affirmation, and the belief that differences should be understood and celebrated rather than changed. I strive to create a supportive environment where clients feel valued, accepted, and empowered to build upon their strengths, gain confidence, and reach their full potential. I find great meaning in helping individuals and families shift their perspective from focusing on what may be difficult to recognizing all that is possible.
