About

Hello and Welcome! I am located in Missouri about 90 miles Southeast of St. Louis. I am licensed to practice clinical psychology, including psychological assessment and therapy in the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NV, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA WV, WI & Washington DC. I have been practicing via telehealth since 2014 and value the accessibility that this provides for me and the clients I work with. My goal in providing psychological assessments is to assist clients in finding hope in their journey to understanding themselves.

Education & Licensure
BA Double Majored Psychology and Religious Students from Lindenwood University in 2004; MA in Clinical Psychology from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in 2007; PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in 2009; MA in Religious Studies from Missouri State University in 2010.
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I really enjoy the creativity and hope that I have experienced working with neurodivergent clients.  I am passionate about travel and learning from individuals with different opinions, cultures, and perspectives than my own. If find that many neurodivergent clients similarly value diversity and self-expression, which make communication flow more naturally.  My goal is to help clients identify their strengths and to collaboratively create a plan to navigate through challenges.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

My perspective is that you are the expert on how your own brain works. My own experiences with sensory hypersensitivity and need for accommodations related to my physical health give me additional insight into some of the obstacles experienced by the clients I work with. My communication style is direct and collaborative. For me, the goal of a psychological assessment or evaluation is to produce a document that empowers clients to understand their diagnoses and to assist in obtaining resources to live a fulfilling life.
