About

Hello and welcome—I’m so glad you’re here.My name is Natali Efstathiou, and I am a licensed psychologist in Tennessee and Florida, with an active PsyPact license. I bring over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, working across a wide range of settings including hospitals, private practice, community mental health, university counseling centers, state hospitals, and in-home services.I am deeply committed to providing you thoughtful, compassionate, and individualized care. As a clinician, I believe that meaningful assessment begins with truly listening—creating a safe, respectful space where you feel seen, understood, and valued. I approach my work collaboratively and from a strengths-based perspective, recognizing that every person’s experiences and neurodevelopmental profile are unique. My goal is to partner with you to offer clear, affirming, and clinically sound evaluations that support self-understanding and guide your next steps with clarity and confidence. I am passionate about delivering care that is both professional and human-centered, grounded in clinical expertise while honoring your individual lived experience.

Education & Licensure
Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Tennessee State University; Master's in Clinical Psychology from Murray State University
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

Throughout my career, I’ve worked extensively with individuals in the IDD population, helping them access the services, supports, and placements they need. Much of my work has involved translating complex clinical information into clear, meaningful recommendations so that individuals and families can better understand what supports are available and how to access them. When I learned more about Prosper Health, I saw a strong alignment with how I already practice. I value autism assessments that don’t just result in a diagnosis, but help you better understand yourself and open the door to appropriate, affirming supports. That emphasis on thoughtful, neurodiversity-affirming evaluations is something that really resonates with me.At this stage in my career, Prosper Health feels like a natural fit. It’s an organization where I can use my experience  to help you gain clarity, validation, and access to the services you need, while also working within a model that prioritizes high clinical standards and genuinely supports its clinicians.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

A core part of my work has been taking complex clinical information—assessment data, diagnostic criteria, and system-level requirements—and translating it into clear, meaningful recommendations you can actually use. I focus on explaining not just what the findings are, but what they mean for you in real life and how they can guide next steps in a practical and empowering way. When I work with you, I approach assessment through a strengths-based lens. Rather than centering on deficits or challenges, I focus on recognizing, honoring, and building upon your existing strengths, resilience, and capacities. I believe that people are inherently resilient, and my role is not to “fix” you, but to partner with you as you gain greater self-understanding and identify supports that allow you to thrive. My approach is rooted in compassion, affirmation, and respect for each individual’s lived experience. As a member of the LGBTQIA community, I am especially mindful of how important it is for you to feel seen, safe, and validated in clinical spaces. I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable being your authentic self and confident that your identity and experiences are understood and respected.
