About

Greetings! I am a first generation Asian-American clinical psychologist located in New Jersey, and I am licensed in both NJ and NY. In my doctoral program, I received rigorous training in neuropsychological assessment with specific focus in autism evaluations. I completed both my pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship in the Developmental Disabilities and Evaluations  department at Westchester Jewish Community Services in Westchester County, NY. I am married to a neurodivergent partner, and am deeply connected to the autism community both professionally and personally. When I am not working, I can be found hiking with my dog, watching anime with my partner, or listening to the latest K-pop bands. T

Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

What I love most about working with people on the autism spectrum is how each person is a truly unique individual, with their own passions and perspectives. As I grew my expertise in what the field described as "developmental disabilities", I saw past the stereotypes and instead found deep thinkers who were not "disabled", but differently-abled. I admired their creative problem-solving skills and their ability to focus intensely on their interests. I saw "masking" and "camouflaging" as courageous attempts at adapting to a world not built for them. I am continuously humbled by the everyday resilience of people on the spectrum. I am grateful for opportunity to learn from each neurodiverse client and to create a more supportive world where they could not only thrive but also teach me to see the world from a new perspective.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; instead, I embrace the unconventional ways neurodiverse people think and interact with the world. My first priority is to create a safe space where you feel comfortable enough to tell your story. I listen intently to your experiences, passions, and unique perspectives. Rather than just assigning labels, I seek to understand your innate strengths, whether it's an incredible attention to detail, a talent for creative problem-solving, or a fierce commitment to your values. From there, we collaborate as partners to build a narrative that speaks to those strengths, celebrates your individuality, and honors your authentic lived experience.
