About
Seeking a Diagnostic Assessment can feel overwhelming, especially when you've been struggling for a long time or have tried treatment before without getting the results you hoped for. Hi, my name is Dr. Michelle Eng. I am a licensed clinical psychologist offering secure telehealth services throughout New York and Florida, allowing clients to receive high-quality care from the comfort and privacy of their own homes. My style is warm, compassionate, and direct. Regardless of the brevity of our time together, I value creating a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, curiosity, and honesty. I recognize that every person's experiences are unique, and I work to ensure that therapy feels both evidence-based and deeply personal.
Studying Autism has helped me to understand family members through a different lens. I am passionate about decreasing any pathologizing and stigma associated with Autism. I take a neuroaffirming approach to reinforce that there is nothing wrong or that needs changing and to highlight that any differences can come with both strengths and challenges. For example, someone may have exceptional attention to detail, creativity, or deep expertise in a specific interest while also struggling with sensory overload or navigating unspoken social expectations.
Assessments are conducted with careful attention to each individual's history, strengths, and concerns, resulting in clear, personalized recommendations that can guide treatment, workplace or educational accommodations, and personal understanding. I believe that a thorough evaluation should do more than provide a diagnosis—it should illuminate one’s unique strengths, challenges, and next steps. I strive to deliver clear, comprehensive reports and practical recommendations.
