About
Thank you for being here. My name is Michele Walker. I currently live in North Carolina, and am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. As a member of the neurodivergent community who believes in the freedom of authenticity, I understand the need for a space to explore yourself to people, roles, and experiences. I strive to provide a safe and familiar experience through acceptance, understanding, and attention paired with the accountability, encouragement, and realness that promotes growth and healing. I come along side to empower you to identify and live your most authentic and intentional life honoring what you have experienced, are experiencing, and want to experience.
I believe in access to informed, quality care that respects and incorporates differences. Working with autistic and neurodivergent adults is not only personal but also an opportunity for me to fill a need. Being diagnosed later in life and having neurodivergent children has expanded my mind and perspective in ways that are too liberating to keep to myself. I want to work with others in the autistic and neurodivergent community so that you too can feel free to be without masking or feeling insecure and while experiencing self-love and acceptance.
My therapeutic goal is to empower my clients to identify and live their most authentic and intentional lives honoring what they have experienced, are experiencing, and want to experience. Our work together provides an opportunity for you to live a more satisfying life through processing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and establishing coping skills to assist with life decisions, difficult experiences, and sometimes everyday functioning. You already have what you need to live YOUR best life inside of you, I just help you access it and use it.
