About
Hello! I’m a clinical psychologist with specialized training and more than 15 years of experience in psychological and neuropsychological assessment. I am licensed in Kentucky and have spent much of my career helping people better understand how they process information, experience the world, and navigate their daily lives. For me, the evaluation process is about so much more than a diagnosis. It is an opportunity to understand who you are in the unique context of your life. Whatever brings you to an evaluation, my goal is to provide a thoughtful, respectful, and collaborative assessment experience in which you feel heard and taken seriously.
One of the things I value most about diagnostic assessment is the opportunity to help you make sense of experiences that may have been difficult to understand or explain. I am particularly drawn to working with autistic and neurodivergent adults because careful assessment can provide a framework for understanding those experiences. Whether the evaluation ultimately supports an autism diagnosis or points toward another explanation, I want the process to provide meaningful answers rather than simply a label. My goal is to approach your questions with curiosity, compassion, and clinical rigor. I want you to understand not only the evaluation's conclusions, but also how we reached them and what they may mean for you moving forward.
I approach autism assessment from an affirming and strengths-based perspective. I do not view an evaluation as a search for what is “wrong” with you, nor do I approach autism as something that needs to be fixed. Instead, I work to understand your individual pattern of strengths, challenges, life experiences, and ways of adapting to the world around you. Adult autism assessment requires looking beyond what is immediately visible. I take time to understand your history, relationships, communication style, sensory experiences, and the ways you may have learned to adapt or compensate over time. Throughout the process, I strive to create an environment where you can speak openly about your experiences without feeling the need to perform or give a “right” answer. Above all, I want the assessment process to leave you with a clearer and more compassionate understanding of yourself.
