About

Hello and welcome!  My name is Melissa Davies.  It's a privilege to offer assessment services for adults seeking clarity about themselves.  My work leaves me in awe of what the human spirit can endure and achieve.   I first opened my private practice in Ohio in 2012, but I now live in Michigan.  I was first licensed in 2005 and have worked in the field since then.  I work with a broad spectrum of clients.  It takes courage to begin a journey of self-exploration and understanding.  Together, we can ask hard questions and find the truth.  Let's do this.

Education & Licensure
PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Wright State University Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Defiance College
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I love witnessing clients achieve their purpose in daily life.  No matter our circumstances or our genetic make-up, it's what we're all designed to do.  Having multiple family members who are on the spectrum, I've come to appreciate the unique challenges neurodivergent people face in today's world.  I feel passionate about offering high quality assessment services, that are accessible and affordable.  The better you know yourself, the more equipped you will be to achieve the life goals you set for yourself.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed and unsure what to do next, it's time to get empowered.  You're capable of so much more than you know.  Let's turn your pain and uncertainty into growth you never thought possible.  While we often can't change our circumstances, we can increase what we know about them.  Then, we can get to planning next steps toward achieving the goals you deem important.
