About

Hello and welcome. I’m Dr. Meghan Fraley, and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a licensed clinical psychologist living in the Bay Area and licensed in California. My work is centered on helping people understand themselves more fully and develop language, clarity, and compassion for their lived experience. I approach assessment as a meaningful, collaborative process where you feel respected, heard, and supported—not judged or pathologized. My goal is to create a space where you can show up as you are and walk away with insight that feels accurate, validating, and useful in your life.

Education & Licensure
PhD in Clinical Psychology from Sofia University; MA in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago; BA from Oberlin College
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My motivation for specializing in autism assessment comes from many years of working closely with neurodivergent individuals who often felt misunderstood, overlooked, or pressured to fit into environments that didn’t support them. I’ve seen how transformative it can be when someone finally receives an explanation that makes everything make sense. I deeply value the diversity of autistic experiences, strengths, and perspectives, and I believe that an affirming assessment can open doors—not by changing who you are, but by giving you language and frameworks that help you understand yourself on your own terms. I’m here to offer clarity without judgment and to help you make meaning of experiences that may have felt confusing or invalidated in the past.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

My approach is strengths-based, relational, and grounded in deep respect for neurodiversity. During the assessment process, I focus on understanding your experiences in context—what has supported you, what has challenged you, and what has shaped how you move through the world. I prioritize listening closely, asking thoughtful questions, and making sure the process feels collaborative rather than evaluative. My role is not to find what’s “wrong,” but to help you identify the patterns, strengths, and needs that can guide you toward environments, relationships, and daily structures where you can thrive. Above all, I aim to create an experience where you feel safe, affirmed, and truly seen.
