About

Peace and greetings! My name is Dr. Meghan, and I currently live in New Orleans, LA. I'm licensed in North Carolina and Louisiana. Therapy is a safe space dedicated to YOUR healing. Everyone deserves a therapist who gets them! First, I want to understand you—your past lived experiences, how you view yourself, and any other relevant details for your healing journey. I am passionate about supporting individuals on their healing journey towards greater self-awareness and emotional peace. My goal is to work with you to help you discover your truth, embrace your resilience, and encourage you to evolve into your greatest self.

Education & Licensure
Ph.D. in Counselor Education from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Xavier University of Louisiana, Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience & Psychology from the University of Texas, Dallas
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My interest in working with neurodivergent adults stems from my desire to create a safe space for everyone to feel heard and empowered. During my clinical training, I worked with neurodivergent adolescents to assist with their emotional development and social skills development. I found it very important to normalize what they were feeling and empower them towards their goals. Now, I look forward to the opportunity to support neurodivergent adults in reaching their therapeutic goals.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

Every individual is unique in their experience, journey, and perspective, so therapy can't be a one-approach-fits-all. As I understand each client, I tailor therapeutic interventions to best align with the client's needs. I prioritize an affirming and strengths-based approach to ensure that every individual feels seen, valued, and empowered. I believe that each client possesses unique strengths and abilities that can be harnessed to navigate challenges and achieve personal goals. As a Black woman from the South, I believe therapy is a precious moment that recognizes our healing alongside our ancestral healing.
