About

Hello! My name is Megan Gibson. I am a licensed therapist living and working in Georgia. I am here to help you on any journey you may find yourself on. My goal is to work with you on topics that are important to you. I provide a welcoming, safe, non-judgmental space for you to work through challenges. As a therapist, I am constantly learning and growing. I like to encourage everyone I meet with to take steps to be their favorite version of themselves. I look forward to meeting with you!

Education & Licensure
Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling Psychology, Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia; Bachelors Degree in Psychology, University of North Georgia, Dahlonega, Georgia
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I began working with individuals who are neurodivergent in my first internship, and have chosen to continue throughout my career because of the people I have been able to work with along the way. I have learned and experienced much while working with clients who are neurodivergent. There are so many unique perspectives and experiences that my clients have shared with me. I enjoy being able to show up and help my clients to feel like they have someone to help them advocate for themselves. I feel that there are many tools clients can use to help navigate challenges and achieve their goals. I am here to help clients build their toolbox for handling anything that life may bring.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I use a person-centered approach to help you feel seen, heard, and encouraged. I create a space for you to be your true self and overcome challenges. Each individual who seeks counseling has different background, different experiences, and different strengths. My goal is to get to know what unique circumstances you find yourself in, so that I can partner with you and help you feel supported as you reach your goals.
