About

Hello, and welcome! I’m Dr. Freeman, a licensed psychologist based in Nevada. My approach to care is person-centered, shaped by both my professional work and my own experiences navigating medical systems that often don’t prioritize client voice or choice. In this process, your perspective matters. You are the expert on your own experiences, and my role is to listen carefully, ask the right questions, and integrate that information in ways that are useful to you. I know that deciding to pursue diagnostic assessment isn’t something you have done lightly, and I approach this work with care, thoughtfulness, and respect for what it represents for you. This is an area where I bring a lot of depth and experience. My graduate training focused heavily on evidence-based diagnostic assessment with children and adolescents, and over 20 years in the field has shown me how important accurate diagnosis really is; not just for treatment, but for self-understanding and access to supports that truly help. My goal is to provide clarity that feels accurate and meaningful to you.

Education & Licensure
PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; Masters in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; Bachelors in Psychology from Trinity College.
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

Many people grow up feeling different or out of place without understanding why. I believe differences matter and deserve respect, and that understanding how you experience and interact with the world can make it easier to navigate environments that aren’t always designed for you. Clarity can help you stop second-guessing yourself and start understanding your needs with more confidence and self-compassion.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I take a strengths-based approach by paying close attention to what has helped you adapt, cope, and function over time, not just where things have been hard. In assessment, that means understanding skills, interests, values, and strategies alongside challenges, and placing them in context rather than treating them as deficits. Together we will explore your strengths so that the assessment captures who you are as a whole person.
