About

Hello and welcome! I look forward to working together. My name is Maureen Walsh. I live and am licensed in Connecticut. I am passionate about meeting individuals where they are at, being a support and a resource as they engage in personal growth and development. As a therapist, I believe in creating a safe, collaborative space where you feel truly heard and seen. My goal is to partner with you, helping you find resilience and tap into strengths as we work together towards your goals and through life's challenges. Every person's journey is unique and I'm invested in providing care that is as individual as you are.

Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My motivation for working with adults with autism stems from a deep respect for neurodiversity and a passion for cultivating a space where every individual feels valued and empowered. A combination of personal and professional experiences with neurodiversity shape my avidity for providing support that honors each person's unique experiences as well as their strengths, perspectives, and resilience. My goal is to help navigate challenges, build on their strengths, and develop skills that enhance the quality of their daily lives as well as the health of relationships with themselves and others. We will work together towards living a life where you feel heard, seen, supported and able to thrive.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I prioritize an affirming and strengths-based approach to ensure that every individual feels seen, heard, valued, and empowered. I believe that each client possesses unique assets, resources, and abilities that can be harnessed to navigate challenges and achieve personal goals. I actively listen to their experiences and validate their feelings, cultivating a safe space in which to express themselves, learn and grow authentically.
