About
Hello and Welcome. My name is Maureen Walsh and I look forward to working together! I'm licensed as an LPC in Connecticut, Florida, and South Carolina and am in process of getting licensed to provide telehealth therapy in several other states. I have over 20 years of experience providing trauma informed, neuro-affirming and individualized care to couples, adults across the lifespan, families, children, and adolescents. As a neurodivergent therapist, I am invested in creating a safe, collaborative space where you feel truly heard and seen. My goal is to help you identify and tap into strengths as we work together towards your goals and through life's challenges. I combine bottom-up (somatic/experiential) and top-down (cognitive) approaches and interventions to help you understand the connection between your neurodivergence and stress and/or trauma responses. We will work together to focus on safety, emotional regulation, and a strength-based perspective that recognizes your unique resilience. The goal is not to "fix" who you are, but to foster deep self-understanding, integrate past wounds, and thrive authentically. Every person's journey is unique and I'm invested in providing care that is as individual as you are.
As a neurodivergent Licensed Professional Counselor, I am honored to provide care which is built on a foundation of emotional safety, deep respect, and a genuine appreciation of neurodivergent communication styles, patterns, challenges, and needs. We will work together towards personalized goals which aim to help you live, work, play, and thrive more authentically.
I’m certified in Neuropsychotherapy, which integrates neuroscience, attachment theory, and psychology to treat emotional difficulties by working directly with how the brain and nervous system respond to stress and safety. I draw from empirically supported treatment approaches, including but not limited to CBT, DBT, EFT, IFS, and ACT, while leveraging neuroplasticity to help clients navigate through overwhelm, burnout and chronic stress to build healthier emotional and cognitive patterns for deeper change.
