Matthew Eisner
About
My name is Matt Eisner (He/They), and I am a licensed clinical psychologist living in Massachusetts. My therapeutic style draws from evidence-based practices, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with the goal of helping folks cultivate a life worth living. I have worked with a range of individuals across levels of treatment and settings, and particularly enjoy providing accessible neuropsychological assessments.
One of the core values I hold as a clinician is providing care that is both accessible and affirming. Too often, systems are not designed with the flexibility needed to truly support neurodivergent individuals. I am committed to helping ensure that clients can access high-quality, compassionate care that recognizes and honors their unique strengths and needs.Through my work in university counseling centers across New England, I have seen firsthand how access to accommodations often requires formal diagnoses. Being able to support clients through that process is deeply meaningful to me. I view this work not just as an assessment, but as advocacy; helping individuals gain clarity, validation, and the resources they need to thrive. I would be honored to play even a small role in your journey.
My approach to neuropsychological assessment is grounded in the belief that evaluation should illuminate strengths as much as it clarifies areas of difficulty. Testing is not about labeling deficits; it is about understanding how a person’s brain works, identifying patterns of ability, and highlighting the capacities that can be leveraged for growth and success. I aim to ensure that each evaluation provides clients with language that feels accurate, affirming, and empowering.
