Hello and warm welcome! You've taken a big step and I am glad to be here for you. My name is Dr. Martha Sorensen but please feel free to address me as 'Martha'. I am a licensed psychologist in Colorado and have lived here for many years. My practice has always been person centered with a love for working with individuals finding their way to their own understanding and acceptance. I am here for you to make the journey one of exploration, introspection, and growth. Thank you for allowing me to join you on your journey.
My work focus reflects my personal passion for finding the best in others, helping them identify and embrace their walk in life, and encouraging them to continue growth throughout their lives. Personally, I have watched family members, good friends, and clients/patients struggle with finding sufficient services to help them in their quest for a better understanding of their autism and neurodivergence. I hope to help you find clarity in understanding the impact autism has in your life through assessment of autism and neurodivergence and to help you build on your strengths, develop skills to move confidently through life, and meet challenges in strategic and effective ways.
I work from the approach of affirming you for who you are, identifying strengths that empower you, valuing you as a person while validating your feelings and experiences in your life. I try to create a safe place to explore and assess your authentic self.
