Marnie Levine Einfeldt
About
Hi, and welcome to my bio. My name is Marnie Levine-Einfeldt, and I am an Independently Licensed Social Worker in Ohio, originally from Queens, New York. After 30 years in the mental health field, I have learned that real change happens and lasts longer when you feel seen, safe, and equipped with tools that actually work for you. My approach is trauma-informed, mostly rooted in DBT-focused skill building, and I also infuse humor in the conversation when it’s appropriate. We’ll go at a pace that respects where you are while practicing concrete strategies for managing big emotions, navigating relationships, and handling the hard days. I have "been there, done it" and actually wrote and self-published books about it. I look forward to meeting you.
My motivation for working with neurodivergent adults is rooted in rewarding prior professional experiences in fostering resiliency, empowerment and strength, in order to pursue their "lives worth living", from skills I had the privilege to share with them. My motivation also stems from personal experience, having some facets of neurodivergence myself, as well as lived experience of trauma. My goal is to be a steady, down-to-earth partner who meets you where you’re at and honors how your mind works. I use the DBT and relaxation tools I teach clients, which have helped me with my own lived experience of trauma, and I know they are effective when we put them to work. I would love to help you build a life worth living that feels authentically yours.
As a Social Worker, the systems focus and strengths-based approach is my framework. As a human, a trauma survivor and a Therapist, I know the value of compassion, curiosity about people as unique individuals, and the importance of capitalizing on strength to overcome obstacles in pursuit of desired goals. I especially know the importance of affirmation, as it helped me to build my own confidence in my teens, from the ground up, when I lacked it, and I am able to carry that torch forward to those I work with. I listen actively, offer a holistic, warm and non-judgmental presence, to hold space for those who partner with me.
