Hi and welcome. I'm glad that you are visiting this page. My name is Mark Schachter and I currently live in Central Florida, having recently moved from Buffalo, NY. I am enjoying the warm weather and sunshine! My training is in the areas of developmental disabilities and neuropsychology. I have worked with many neurodivergent people, helping them to understand the complications in their lives by offering warm and compassionate diagnostic evaluations. These can help you to gain insight, develop goals, and ultimately to find resilience and uncover your strentghs.
My inspiration for working with autistic/neurodivergent adults comes from a desire to assist people with all levels of challenges in living within an accepting and respected social environment. My goal is to help clients understand themselves, develop insights regarding how those challenges have affected their development, and to navigate the challenges as they move forward in their lives. The comprehensive diagnostic evaluations that I provide are the first step in the journey of building on your unique strengths and becoming more resilient.
I am a neuropsychologist with over 40 years experience in diagnosing children and adults. I emphasize developing a profile of each client's strengths, challenges, and uniqueness. This will assist you to self-actualize by building on your strengths and identifying areas to target for improvement.
