About
Hello and welcome—I’m really glad you’re here. My name is Mark and I’m a licensed clinician based in Washington, DC. I’m passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s complexities with greater clarity, balance, and self-understanding. With nearly a decade of experience across private practice, collaborative care, and academic settings, I bring a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to our work together.I strive to create a space that feels supportive, affirming, and grounded in trust—where you can show up fully as yourself. My role is to partner with you in identifying your strengths, building practical skills, and working through challenges in a way that feels meaningful and sustainable. Your experience is unique, and our work will reflect that.
I was drawn to working with autistic and neurodivergent clients through my broader experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, emotional regulation, and identity development. Over time, I recognized how often neurodivergent clients were misunderstood or pathologized rather than supported in affirming ways. My background in clinical psychology and counseling, along with experience in diverse and LGBTQIA+ populations, reinforced the importance of creating spaces that honor differences as strengths. Through clinical work, teaching, and collaborative care, I’ve developed a flexible, client-centered approach that prioritizes autonomy, sensory awareness, and strengths—helping clients build strategies that align with how they naturally think, feel, and engage with the world.
I bring an affirming, strength-based approach by centering each client’s lived experience, identity, and inherent resilience. With nearly a decade in clinical mental health, I draw on my work in addictions, anxiety, and emotional regulation to highlight client strengths while collaboratively addressing challenges. My experience in private practice and collaborative care allows me to meet clients where they are, using evidence-based interventions while fostering autonomy and empowerment. I intentionally create inclusive, culturally responsive spaces, particularly for diverse and LGBTQIA+ populations. As an educator and clinician, I translate insight into practical strategies, helping clients build sustainable skills and recognize their capacity for growth and change.
