Hi! I'm Marianna Nunez ( Mari) and I am a licensed professional counselor in Florida, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. I specialize in working with those who have experienced trauma. I like to explore and focus on what we can do within our own strengths to improve our self confidence and daily experience.

Education & Licensure

PhD in Psychology from California Coast, MA in Counseling from John Carroll Univeristy, and a BA in Human Services from Adrian Colloge

Treatment Approach

What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

Over my 30 years of mental health work, I have seen neurodivergent individuals be misunderstood and often misguided in therapy interventions. I observed to defeating attitudes of those who do not take differences into account. I am an active listener and often hear what others miss. I have a variety of creative strategies to share for healthy and effective living.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I love working with people and learning of their life perspectives. My parents were licensed foster parents and I grew up in a home where differences were shared and celebrated. We supported one another in our different learning styles and life experiences. I want to continue to support others and help them use their natural strengths and abilities to celebrate and flourish in their life.
