About
I am a bilingual Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Florida, providing therapy in English and Spanish. I have eight years of counseling experience and almost three years as a licensed therapist. I specialize in treating anxiety disorders. My clinical interests include neuro-affirming care, chronic stress, traumatic stress, wellness, and health psychology. I also support clients experiencing Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, transitions, and relationship challenges.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and strengths-based. I draw from Cognitive Behavior Therapy, positive psychology, mindfulness, and neuro-informed approaches to help clients develop practical coping skills and create meaningful changes that support their well-being.
My interest in mental health began while studying psychology at Miami-Dade College and continued through my bachelor’s degree at Florida International University. I became increasingly interested in understanding human behavior, emotional well-being, and the experiences that shape our lives. This led me to pursue graduate training in community mental health counseling and later post-master’s training in marriage and family therapy. I chose this path because I value helping people recognize their strengths and develop meaningful ways to improve their wellness.
My approach begins with recognizing and building upon each client’s unique strengths, abilities, and experiences. I strive to create a compassionate, affirming therapeutic space where clients feel heard, respected, supported, and affirmed. Through collaboration, I help clients identify their existing resources, develop greater confidence, and build practical skills that support emotional well-being, personal growth, and their ability to work toward their full potential.
