About
Hello and welcome! My name is Malinda GraceM.S. LPC, NCC, PhD Student, a Licensed ProfessionalCounselor and National Certified Counselor (NBCC) with over25 years of experience supporting trauma-informedindividuals in healing relational wounds and strengtheningtheir sense of self in GeorgiaMy clinical work has long focused on identity development, particularly for individuals navigating the lasting impact ofrelational trauma, disrupted attachment, and prolongedperiods of self-doubt. I specialize in working with clients whoare ready to understand themselves more clearly, takeresponsibility for their growth, and engage meaningfully in thework of change.
I am passionate about working with neurodiverse individuals because I deeply value the uniqueness, creativity, and different ways of thinking that neurodivergent people bring into the world. As a therapist, I find meaningful purpose in creating spaces where individuals feel safe to be fully themselves without pressure to mask, perform, or conform to expectations that do not honor their authentic experiences. My work with neurodiverse clients is grounded in respect, curiosity, and collaboration. I enjoy supporting individuals in understanding their strengths, navigating sensory and emotional experiences, building executive functioning skills, and developing self-advocacy tools that empower them in school, work, relationships, and daily life. I believe neurodiversity is not something to be "fixed," but rather understood, supported, and celebrated.
I bring an affirming and strength-based approach to my work by intentionally creating a space where clients feel seen, respected, and valued for who they are not just for the challenges they face. I believe that every client enters therapy with existing strengths, resilience, and wisdom, even when they may feel overwhelmed or discouraged. My role is to help clients identify those strengths, build upon them, and use them as tools for growth and healing. I approach therapy with curiosity, compassion, and cultural humility, honoring each client’s lived experience, identity, and personal values. Rather than focusing solely on what is not working, I work collaboratively with clients to recognize what is working, whether that is their persistence, creativity, insight, faith, relationships, or survival through difficult circumstances. I help clients reframe struggles as opportunities for learning and self-discovery while reinforcing their capacity to make meaningful changes in their lives.
