About
Hello and welcome! My name is Dr. Patcharapon (Looknoo) Thammathorn, but please feel free to call me Looknoo. I live in Cambridge, MA with my partner and two rescued cats. I am a clinical psychologist with a deep commitment to the wellbeing of autistic and neurodivergent people of all ages. I aim to create a space that feels warm and welcoming, where decisions are made together rather than handed down. I bring empathy, honesty, and a bit of humor to the work!
I've strived to understand and enhance the experiences of autistic individuals when they interact with the education, medical, and mental health care systems. This has taken shape through my early work on an autism screening project, my dissertation on identity development and wellbeing in autistic youth, and my ongoing work developing professional development for teachers of autistic students. What has influenced my approach throughout is a commitment to neurodiversity-affirming, identity-centered care, and to lowering the barriers so many people face on the way to a diagnosis or support.
I believe that receiving an autism diagnosis as an adult can be an important identity-affirming shift in self-understanding — and how that diagnosis is delivered matters just as much as the diagnosis itself. I bring that same care, clarity, and compassion to every evaluation I conduct.
So many autistic adults I've worked with describe a long history of not being believed — of raising concerns and being met with stigma, discrimination, or invalidation instead of understanding. That history often makes the idea of seeking an evaluation feel risky in itself. At Prosper Health, I aim to provide an assessment process where you feel truly heard and understood.
