About
Hello, and thank you for pausing to learn more about me. I am a licensed clinical psychologist and have been in practice since 2012. I have worked across multiple settings providing therapy and assessments, including university counseling centers, the Veterans Affairs Hospital, and private practice. I enjoy the human connection I get to experience through my work. My commitment is to serve people from all walks of life, because mental health struggles can impact anyone. It is an honor to be part of someone's journey towards a better understanding of their mental health and healing.
My interest in neurodiversity stems from having loved ones in my personal life who are diagnosed with ADHD and autism. I love and respect these family members and have spent my whole life learning how to be a safe person of support for them. I can see the beauty and strengths in how their minds work and am always pointing it out to them, because I want to counter the negative messages they receive from the world every day about not fitting into a square box. I want to help change the world and create boxes of all shapes and sizes for people with all types of different neurological wiring.
I believe the key to being useful to anyone's journey is safety and trust. Establishing a connection that feels safe is the most important step in helping someone look inward and learn about themselves. Empowering people to cultivate self-love and self-compassion is a rewarding process for me, and I do so by modeling a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship.
