About

Hello and welcome. I'm Dr. Liza Kedioglou, a licensed clinical psychologist in New York and Connecticut. My background spans outpatient therapy, community mental health, inpatient psychiatry, and forensic psychology, where I've worked with adults presenting with a wide range of experiences and needs. I approach each evaluation with curiosity, respect, and care, taking time to understand your experiences within the broader context of your life. My goal is to create a thoughtful, collaborative assessment process where you feel comfortable sharing your experiences openly and leave with a clearer understanding of yourself.

Education & Licensure
PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University in San Diego, CA: Masters in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from University of New Haven in CT; Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Mitchell College in CT
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My interest in adult autism assessment grew out of my broader work helping people understand themselves more fully. Throughout my career, I've worked with adults who have spent years adapting to expectations that didn't quite fit them, often questioning why certain aspects of life have always felt more difficult than they seemed for others. I value the opportunity to help people make sense of lifelong patterns in a way that is thoughtful and grounded in their lived experience. Whether an evaluation confirms autism or points in another direction, I hope the process leaves people with greater self-understanding and self-compassion.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I strive to provide assessments that are both clinically rigorous and person-centered. I recognize that no two individuals are the same and avoid assumptions based on stereotypes or outward presentation. I take time to understand each person’s experiences, strengths, and challenges, including how they may have adapted or masked over time. My goal is to offer a respectful, collaborative evaluation grounded in neurodiversity-affirming practice, with clear, individualized feedback that helps people better understand themselves.
