About

Hi, I’m Lindsay Allotey and I am a licensed psychologist based out of Raleigh, NC. What guides me as a practitioner is the belief that growth and change happen when we create space for connection, curiosity, and collaboration. What I value most is meeting clients where they are, offering a space that feels safe, nonjudgmental, and even a little lighthearted at times—because growth doesn’t always have to feel heavy.

Education & Licensure
PsyD in Clinical Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology; Bachelors in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Rutgers University
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My interest in supporting neurodivergent clients grew out of my clinical experiences with individuals who often felt unseen in traditional therapy spaces. I’ve witnessed the creativity, resilience, and unique perspectives that neurodivergence brings, and I believe those strengths deserve to be embraced. In my work, I focus on highlighting those strengths while also collaborating with clients to find strategies that truly honor their ways of processing, communicating, and connecting with the world around them.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I prioritize an affirming and strength-based approach by listening and validating my client’s experiences. I believe people thrive when they feel heard, understood, and valued for who they are. I work collaboratively with clients to uncover their strengths and build on them as a foundation for growth, confidence, and meaningful change.
