About
Hi, I’m Dr. Linda Olson, a clinical psychologist with more than 30 years of experience, licensed in Connecticut and Georgia. I help people manage anxiety, navigate relationships, and build confidence in their decisions.
I’m interested in understanding how you experience the world and what makes daily life easier or harder for you. You can expect a warm, direct, and collaborative approach. Together, we’ll identify your goals and develop practical strategies that fit your needs, strengths, and communication preferences.
What draws me to working with autistic and neurodivergent clients is my commitment to helping people feel understood and take their own experiences seriously. I care about the impact of being repeatedly misunderstood or having your needs dismissed.
I want to understand your experience rather than make assumptions about it. Whether you’re exploring your identity, navigating relationships, or learning to communicate your needs, my goal is to help you build a life that works for you.
I begin by listening closely to what matters most to you and getting to know your strengths, interests, experiences, and existing supports. I take your thoughts, feelings, and needs seriously, and I welcome your feedback about what helps you feel comfortable, understood, and supported in our sessions.
Together, we build on your strengths to develop practical strategies for managing stress, communicating your needs, navigating relationships, and moving toward your goals. I adapt our work to your pace, communication preferences, and priorities. You can ask for clarification, disagree, and tell me when something doesn’t fit—your perspective matters throughout our work.
