Leticia Arellano
About
My name is Leticia Arellano (pronouns: she/her). I am passionate about supporting individuals, especially those from communities often ignored or overlooked by the mental health field, to understand themselves as a tool towards empowerment and life satisfaction. I am here to collaborate with you to learn your story, including all the challenges and shining moments along the way in the service of helping you work towards your goals.
As a late diagnosed, neurodivergent Latina/Xicana psychologist, I have first hand knowledge of how vulnerable and profound the process of finding out about one's self can be and the challenges that can emerge along the way. I am inspired to help individuals understand their strengths and challenges to increase hope and decrease isolation and loneliness.
I provide a non-judgmental approach which elevates fairness, dignity, and collaboration in the assessment process. I work actively and transparently to assess each individual's needs and to educate regarding the sometimes confusing process of psychological evaluation, and how it is different from and similar to therapy. I listen in an attentive and engaged way, ensuring that I am understanding the people I support at every step of the way.
