About

Hello, I am glad you are here! My name is Lauren Neathery. I am a Texas based therapist who is passionate about supporting individuals through where they are in life while they are in the Houston their best self! I enjoy my career and helping others heal and find their own path. I believe in client centered therapy, because I believe each person is unique and their therapy journey should be as well

Education & Licensure
Masters (MS) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University with specializations in forensics, trauma and crisis management & intervention; Bachelors in Science from The University of Texas at Arlington
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My motivation with working with neurodivergent clients has developed over the years working within many populations and finding ways to provide affirming care while honoring each clients unique diversity. I believe everyone deserves a safe & respectful environment to grow into their best selves in. Whatever your story may be, know you have a safe, non-judgmental space to come to. I would enjoy meeting with you and potentially assisting you through your current stage of life and/or exploring what in your past you may need assistance processing to achieve your current goals.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

Typically in the first session with a client I focus on building rapport to create a safe space for each client. I want to get to know my clients and learn about their goals. From there, we work towards their goals, work on developing coping skills and work on managing life's difficulties in a safe environment personal to that client.
