Lark Huang-Storms
About
Hello! I’m Dr. Lark Huang-Storms (my Chinese last name is pronounced “whong”) and I use she/her pronouns. Please feel free to call me Lark. I currently live in Seattle and am licensed in Oregon, Washington, and Arizona, and am PSYPACT credentialed. Alongside Prosper Health, I direct an autism consultation program at Oregon Health & Science University and am a psychologist at Seattle Children’s Hospital. I enjoy teaching, research and community outreach. But most of all, I love clinical work and creating safe, compassionate spaces where people can express themselves authentically. I would be very happy to have the opportunity to work with you.
I come from a neurodiverse, intercultural family and profoundly believe that everyone benefits when we build welcoming and inclusive systems. I’ve had the privilege of working within the autistic community for nearly 30 years now. Neurodivergent toddlers who scribbled pictures for me have grown into remarkable, complex adults! I’m inspired and enriched by these relationships every day. But I also see huge unmet needs for services, resources, supports, advocacy, and understanding. I’ve had the honor of providing autism assessments for multi-generational families – grandparents to grandchildren – all with very different needs and abilities. I admire the uniqueness and the resilience of people, and I respect my clients enormously.
I emphasize a genuine, evidence-based, and collaborative approach to care. I will listen deeply to learn about you and your experiences. My goal is to understand the questions that brought you to seek an autism evaluation and to bolster the strengths that will guide you as you move forward – so you can feel more comfortable in your brain and body, your relationships, and the world around you. An assessment with me should help you develop a clearer and more compassionate understanding of yourself.
