Intro

Hello! I am a psychologist licensed in Massachusetts and Colorado. I also hold an active PSYPACT license, which allows me to provide Telehealth services in 42+ states. I have worked in clinical and school settings, and have worked with children, adolescents, and adults. Working in different settings and with different age groups has benefited me in having greater perspective into a person’s functioning, influencing my desire to understand the full picture of their life experiences. I have received extensive training in performing diagnostic evaluations, and I continue to gain knowledge about autism in adults through my clinical work here at Prosper and in reviewing research to stay informed. I feel grateful to my clients for sharing about their experiences with me, and I value what I learn through interacting with them.

What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

Working with the neurodivergent community has been a fulfilling experience. Autistic people have often been othered and viewed as needing to be fixed. My hope is that I can help autistic adults, and really all clients I work with, see the strengths they bring to the world. I believe that participating in an evaluation, regardless of the diagnostic outcome, can help in gaining more perspective into your differences and move toward increased self-acceptance and self-compassion.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

There are so many strengths that are associated with each person’s neurodivergence, and it’s important that clients feel empowered and motivated by being informed about their strengths if they do not see them already. I have respect for individual differences and appreciate that we each experience the world differently. I strive to help my clients feel valued, supported, and safe in an evaluation. I believe that participating in an evaluation offers much more than a result, as it can also be part of a person’s journey toward reflection, discovery, and continuous learning about themselves.
