About

Hello, my name is Kimberly Wakefield-Strong. I am Licensed in Tennessee. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, respected, and accepted for who you are. I want you to know that you do not have to navigate difficult experiences, emotions, or life transitions alone.

As a fully licensed therapist, I work collaboratively with you to better understand your experiences, identify patterns that may be impacting your well-being, and develop practical tools to help you move forward. My approach is compassionate, strengths-based, and focused on meeting you where you are.

I recognize that every person’s story is different, and I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Together, we can explore what is most important to you, build on your strengths, and create meaningful goals that fit your life.

Whether you are struggling with stress, anxiety, relationships, self-esteem, life transitions, or simply feel stuck, I am here to provide a supportive and judgment-free space. You deserve to feel understood, empowered, and confident in your ability to create positive change.

If you are ready to take that next step, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

Education & Licensure
BS in Psychology from University of Phoenix; MS in Clinical and Forensic Psychology from Capella University; Advanced Certification in Counseling from Freed Hardeman University
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I chose to work with autistic and neurodivergent clients because I believe every person deserves to be understood for who they are—not defined by a diagnosis, a label, or the areas where they may struggle.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

My passion for this work comes from recognizing the incredible strengths, perspectives, and abilities that neurodivergent individuals bring to the world. I believe therapy should not be about trying to change who you are or teaching you to fit into someone else’s expectations. Instead, I want to help you understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and develop tools that support you in navigating the world in a way that feels authentic to you.
