About

Hello and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Kimberly Rice. I was born and raised in the state of Michigan. I still currently live in the Metro-Detroit area and hold a stated license as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am fervent about supporting individuals on their journey toward greater well-being and self-understanding. As a clinician, I believe in creating a safe, compassionate space where you feel truly heard and understood. My goal is to partner with you in a judgment-free matter, by helping you find resilience and uncover strengths as we work together through life’s challenges. Every person’s journey is unique, and I’m committed to offering care that is as individual as you are.

Education & Licensure
Masters' in Clinical Mental Health and Community Counseling from Siena Heights University, Metro-Detroit Campus; Bachelors of Arts in Multidisciplinary Studies from Siena Heights University, Metro-Detroit Campus.
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My motivation for working with autistic adults stems from a deep respect for neurodiversity and a passion for fostering a space where every individual feels valued and empowered. I am deeply inspired by the strengths, perspectives, and resilience of the autistic community, and I strive to provide support that honors each person’s unique experiences. My goal is to help clients navigate challenges, build on their strengths, and develop skills that enhance their daily lives and both their personal and professional relationships with others. Together, we can work toward a life where you feel understood, supported, and able to thrive.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I prioritize an affirming and strengths-based approach to ensure that every individual feels seen, valued, and empowered. I believe that each client possesses unique strengths and abilities that can be harnessed to navigate challenges and achieve their personal goals. I actively listen to their experiences and validate their feelings, creating a safe space free from judgment where they can express themselves authentically.
