About
Hello and welcome! I'm Kendra Werden, PsyD. I currently live in South Carolina and am a licensed psychologist in South Carolina. I am passionate about supporting individuals in developing greater self-understanding and gaining a clearer picture of how they experience and navigate the world. My role is to get to know you as a whole person. I approach the evaluation process with curiosity, respect, and an appreciation for the many different ways people think, communicate, and experience the world. My goal is partner with you throughout the evaluation process to create a clearer map of your strengths, how you function, and what you may need to thrive. I believe every person has a unique journey and a story worth understanding. I look forward to getting to know you and partnering with you on your journey toward greater self-understanding.
My passion for working with autistic and neurodivergent individuals comes from a deep appreciation for the uniqueness of each person’s way of thinking, experiencing, and engaging with the world. I believe there is tremendous value in understanding ourselves through a neurodiversity-affirming lens—one that recognizes both strengths and challenges without defining a person by a diagnosis.
I chose this work because I value the opportunity to help people make sense of their experiences and, when appropriate, provide language and understanding for things they may have struggled to explain for years. My hope is that the individuals I work with leave the evaluation feeling seen, understood, and with a clearer understanding of themselves.
I bring an affirming and strengths-based approach, taking time to understand the whole person. I recognize and build upon each individual’s unique strengths, interests, and ways of thinking, which I believe can help them with achieving personal goals. My goal is for each person to feel seen, respected, and empowered with a deeper understanding of themselves.
