Keisha Mascal
About
Welcome — I’m glad you’re here, and I’m committed to making this process clear, respectful, and supportive from the very beginning. My name is Dr. Keisha Mascal. I’m a licensed clinical psychologist based in California, and I’m passionate about helping people finally feel understood without having to mask or explain themselves over and over. I’ve spent my career supporting individuals who have carried a lot on their own, and I’m driven by the belief that you deserve clarity, compassion, and a space where your experiences make sense. My background includes years of clinical work across community, medical, and private settings, and I bring a calm, steady presence to every assessment and conversation we have.
My motivation for working with autistic and neurodivergent adults comes from a deep respect for the ways you’ve learned to navigate a world that hasn’t always understood you. I’ve met so many people who have spent years masking, compensating, or feeling like they had to work twice as hard just to be seen. I chose this work because I believe you deserve clarity, language, and a space where your experiences finally make sense. My goal is to offer an assessment process that feels validating, predictable, and grounded in who you are — not who you’ve been told to be.
I take a strengths‑based and affirming approach because I believe you already carry insight, resilience, and abilities that deserve to be recognized. My role is to help you make sense of your experiences in a way that highlights what’s working, not just what’s been hard. I listen closely to your story, validate your lived experience, and create a space where you don’t have to perform. Throughout the assessment process, I focus on clarity, collaboration, and honoring the ways you’ve learned to navigate the world. My goal is for you to leave feeling understood, supported, and more connected to your strengths.
