About

Hello, and welcome!  I'm excited to support you.  My name is Kayla Wiggins, and I'm licensed in the state of the Texas. As a clinical social worker with over 14 years of experience, I provide compassionate, strengths-based care tailored to each individual.  I strongly believe that no two people are having the same experience in this world, and our journey in life is completely individualized.  Therefore, I will always see this as your path to better understanding yourself, and I'm walking alongside you to provide support the way that you need it. I specialize in supporting individuals with ADHD, autism, and other neurodivergent experiences, helping to tailor life skills as well as finding your strengths and building upon them to improve your everyday life. I'm happy to support individuals of all gender identities, sexual orientations, family structures, races, and ethnicities.

Education & Licensure
Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA; Masters in Social Work from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My motivation for working with neurodivergence became evident through my experience as a school social worker.  I quickly began to realize that so many individuals at a very young age were made to feel like they weren't good enough.  Their struggles weren't validated whatsoever.  I then understood that the world was built with one type of brain in mind, and we were putting unrealistic expectations on many people, and it's not okay.  You are not broken, you're just wired differently.  And having the appropriate support is the first step to feeling your best self, just the way you are.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

Every individual has unique strengths, and I believe those strengths are the foundation for meaningful growth. You are the expert on your own life, and together, we’ll explore what feels right for you—not what's expected by loved ones or even society, but on your own values and beliefs. My role is to support and validate your journey, helping you recognize and build upon the skills and resilience you already have. Lasting change begins when you feel seen, heard, and empowered to lead the way.
