About

Hi, I’m Kathryn Pierre, a licensed clinical social worker based in Texas with over 10 years of experience helping adults, couples, and groups discover and develop the lives they deserve and desire.

As a neurodivergent Black woman and therapist, I also understand the importance of feeling seen, safe, and understood within the therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a space where clients can show up fully and honestly while feeling supported as they grow into the version of themselves they want to become.

I work with individuals who appear to have it together on the outside but internally feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in unhealthy patterns. Together, we will work towards helping you better understand yourself, navigate relationships more intentionally, and build healthier ways of coping, communicating and connecting.

Education & Licensure
Masters in Social Work from Texas Woman's University; Bachelors in Government - Legal Studies from Texas Woman's University
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

As someone who is autistic, this work is deeply personal to me. I experienced both cultural and systemic barriers that made it difficult to access support and receive an accurate diagnosis, and those experiences shaped the way I approach therapy today.

I’m passionate about creating a space where autistic and neurodivergent clients feel seen, affirmed, and understood without feeling pressured to mask who they are. My goal is to help clients better understand themselves, honor their needs, and move through life with more self-compassion and confidence.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

My approach is rooted in helping clients recognize and build upon the strengths they already carry, even if those strengths have been buried underneath overwhelm, self-doubt, or life experiences. I believe therapy should not be focused on “fixing” you, but helping you better understand yourself and reconnect with the parts of you that may have been overlooked or stretched too thin.
