About

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Ohio, and I’ve dedicated my career to supporting autistic clients and their families. I graduated from the University of Akron, where I expanded my research and clinical focus on autism and neurodiversity. I’m driven by a deep belief that every person deserves to feel understood, supported, and empowered in shaping the life they envision for themselves.I describe myself as compassionate, resourceful, and consistently supportive. I work to create a space where clients feel safe to explore their strengths, challenges, and goals at their own pace. What motivates me most is witnessing clients discover new possibilities, build confidence, and move toward the futures they imagine. My role is to walk alongside them—encouraging, motivating, and helping them access the tools that allow their unique abilities to shine.

Education & Licensure
I completed my graduate training at the University of Akron, where I was an Honors student and a proud member of Chi Sigma Iota, the national counseling honor society. During that time, I also served on the Membership, Media, and Marketing Committee for the Ohio Counseling Association, where I created the newsletters and the logo they still use today. Before entering graduate school, I worked with Autism Personal Coach, supporting autistic adults in building the skills and confidence they needed in their daily lives. Those experiences shaped my commitment to compassionate, strengths‑based care.
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I stepped into this field because I wanted to be someone who listens deeply and advocates for people whose strengths aren’t always recognized. Through my graduate research and clinical experience, I saw how often autistic individuals are misunderstood or underestimated. That pushed me to become a therapist who helps clients feel seen for who they truly are, not who others expect them to be.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

I bring an affirming, strength‑based lens to therapy by centering each client’s natural abilities, interests, and ways of experiencing the world. I don’t view autism through a deficit model — I see it as a meaningful part of someone’s identity, and I work to honor that in every session. My role is to support clients in recognizing their strengths, building on what feels authentic to them, and moving toward their goals with confidence. I approach this work with compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for neurodiversity.
