About

I’m grateful you’re here. Let’s begin this journey together, with compassion and purpose. My name is Karina Acevedo, and I’m a licensed psychologist currently living in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I’m licensed to practice in Florida and offer services in both English and Spanish. I’m passionate about helping people uncover their true selves and navigate the challenges life puts in their path. My approach to therapy is solution-focused—I believe in equipping you with practical tools and strategies to help you manage your current situation while also creating space for growth and self-discovery. With experience working with a wide range of populations, I’m committed to creating a supportive, compassionate space where every individual feels heard, respected, and empowered. Wherever you are on your journey, I look forward to walking alongside you as we work together toward healing and meaningful change.

Treatment Approach

I chose to work with neurodivergent adults, particularly those on the autism spectrum, because this population is often underserved—especially in adulthood. I aim to support clients in building structure, routine, and practical skills to navigate daily life more comfortably and independently. My goal is to create a space where each person feels understood, empowered, and supported in reaching their own version of success.

I believe every person has unique strengths that deserve to be seen, celebrated, and supported. In my work, I take a compassionate, culturally grounded approach that focuses on what’s working—creativity, resilience, deep focus, and the one-of-a-kind perspectives each client brings. Together, through open conversations and shared goal-setting, we build on those strengths in meaningful ways. I honor small wins, adapt routines to fit real life, and strive to create a space where you feel truly understood and empowered to grow.
