About

Hi, I’m Kamir Orama, a Florida-licensed clinician based in Miami. I’m passionate about helping individuals gain a clearer understanding of themselves. My goal is to provide a welcoming and supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and comfortable throughout this process. Together, we’ll explore your unique experiences and strengths, helping you gain clarity and identify recommendations and appropriate next steps.

Education & Licensure
I earned my Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from Ponce Health Sciences University and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. My education and training have provided me with a strong foundation in the practice of psychology and a commitment to understanding each person’s unique experiences and needs.
Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I was drawn to working with adults in the autism spectrum because I’ve always appreciated the beauty of human differences and the many ways we each experience the world. I find it meaningful to listen, learn, and understand the unique perspectives and experiences that make each person who they are. For me, assessment is not simply about identifying a diagnosis; it’s about helping people make sense of themselves, often in ways that can bring clarity, validation, and self-understanding. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to be understood for who they are, recognize their strengths, access the support that fits their needs, and have the space to truly thrive.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

In my work, I take the time to understand each client as a whole person, recognizing both their areas of difficulty and the strengths that may sometimes be overlooked. I approach assessment with curiosity, respect, and without judgment, focusing on understanding rather than simply identifying what may be different. My hope is that clients gain greater self-awareness, validation, and a clearer understanding of how their strengths can support them in moving forward.
