About

Hello and welcome. I’m Dr. Justin Zamora, a licensed psychologist based in Utah. I provide telehealth evaluations for adults who are wondering whether autism may help explain experiences they have carried for years, sometimes quietly and often without a clear name. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable, and high-functioning on the outside, yet have long struggled with feeling different, misunderstood, or chronically out of step with the world around them.My background spans psychological assessment and psychotherapy, which allows me to see people in a fuller and more nuanced way. I am especially interested in helping adults make sense of longstanding patterns in identity, relationships, work, sensory experience, and emotional life. My goal is to offer an experience that is thorough, respectful, and deeply human so that you leave not only with answers, but with greater self-understanding.

Education & Licensure

Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

I was drawn to this work because too many adults move through life feeling confused about themselves when, in reality, they have been adapting to a world that has not fully recognized how they are built. Many have spent years feeling overlooked, mislabeled, or blamed for differences that were never properly understood. I find it deeply meaningful to help people put language to their experience and see themselves with more clarity, compassion, and dignity.I also value this work because an accurate evaluation can be genuinely life-changing. For some, it brings relief. For others, it reframes years of struggle in a way that finally makes sense. I enjoy working with autistic and neurodivergent adults because I respect the diversity of human minds and believe people deserve to be understood in ways that honor both their challenges and their strengths.

How do you bring a strengths-based, affirming approach to your client work?

My approach is affirming, collaborative, and strength-based. I do not view autism or neurodivergence as something to be reduced to a list of deficits. I work to understand the whole person: how you think, relate, cope, adapt, and move through the world. That means paying close attention not only to the areas that have been difficult, but also to your intelligence, resilience, creativity, insight, and the ways you have learned to navigate life.I aim to create a process where people feel respected rather than judged. Many adults seeking evaluation have spent years masking, compensating, or doubting themselves, so it is important to me that the evaluation experience itself feels thoughtful, validating, and clear. My hope is that each person walks away feeling more known, more grounded in who they are, and better able to advocate for what they need.
