About
Greetings! I appreciate your selection of my profile here at Prosper Health. I am a licensed psychologist who has practiced independently since 2018. I have enjoyed working in many contexts from in-home therapeutic services with children and families, inpatient work in state hospitals, to supporting law enforcement communities and incarcerated individuals. My goal is to partner with you through this assessment process so our work can be as supportive, illuminating, and empowering as possible. I am eager to understand your goals as we work together in a strength-based manner.
My introduction to neurodivergence began in my predoctoral internship working with underserved children and families seeking quality assessments related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Along with my supervisor at the time, we developed our organization's first formal Psychological Testing Unit, expanding to both ASD and evaluations for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other elements of neurocognitive and neurodevelopmental functioning. As an early clinician eager to start my career, this work with children and families opened my eyes to the "mismatch" that can often occur when neurodivergent children and youth are pressured to perform (and conform) to expectations modeled to assume that all children and youth are largely neurotypical. Helping families navigate the advocacy challenges and invisible barriers that can also accompany this mismatch instilled in me a desire to ensure that all children and families have tools to be visible and understood.
With all clients, I strive to first create a foundation of safety, trust, and mutual respect. My interviews are guided by principles of curiosity, compassion, and a belief that all individuals possess talents and strengths that can lead to their flourishing.
