About

Hello and welcome! I'm Dr. Joyce Fusek, a licensed Clinical Psychologist providing virtual therapy to adults with Autism. I earned my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from the Minnesota School of Professional Psychology and have dedicated my career to helping individuals navigate life's challenges with greater confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being. I am passionate about creating a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you feel genuinely heard and supported. I work collaboratively with you to understand the root causes of your concerns, assess and provide a diagnosis and offer resources to build practical coping skills, and uncover your strengths. My approach combines evidence-based therapies with the latest neuroscience-informed techniques to help provide assessment and diagnosis for Autism Spectrum Disorder. Finally, I provide resources and specific interventions to help you manage your diagnosis. I believe every person has the capacity for growth and healing, and I am committed to helping you move forward with greater clarity, empowerment, and hope.

Treatment Approach
What motivated you to specialize in working with autistic adults?

My passion for working with autistic and neurodivergent individuals comes from a deep appreciation for the diversity of human experiences and a commitment to helping people feel understood, respected, and supported. Throughout my career, I have been inspired by the unique strengths, insights, and perspectives that neurodivergent individuals bring to the world. I believe that every person deserves access to care that recognizes their individuality rather than focusing solely on challenges or differences.

As a psychologist, I have developed specialized expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of autism across the lifespan. I understand that seeking answers about autism can be both meaningful and complex. My goal is to provide thorough, compassionate evaluations that offer clarity, understanding, and practical recommendations that support growth and well-being.

I am committed to creating a collaborative and affirming environment where you feel heard and valued. Whether we are exploring questions related to diagnosis, navigating life transitions, addressing emotional or behavioral concerns, or building on existing strengths, I strive to help you gain insight, confidence, and the tools needed to thrive. It is a privilege to partner with individuals and families as they better understand themselves and move toward meaningful goals.
